SPI Has New Coast Guard Commander

At a Chamber Coffee and Conversation Mixer yesterday morning, Lt. Joshua Sagers spoke to our group about the duties, jurisdiction, and history of our local Coast Guard. What an honor to have this young man in SPI. One of his goals is to expand the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Many of our waters are too shallow for them to navigate and they need the help of local citizens (especially with a shallow running boat) to aid in their rescue efforts. It was an interesting morning!
