The University of Texas at the Rio Grande Valley [UTRGV] is set to hold business development classes at the Art Business Incubator South Padre Island [ABISPI]. The course is sponsored by the South Padre Island Economic Development Corporation [SPI EDC].
According to an official press release, the course will run for seven weeks. The class will meet once a week on Friday from Sept. 20 to Nov. 1, from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m.
The development course is called Kauffman FastTrac. Students can expect “a deeper understanding of course material through practical exercises, real-time feedback, and immediate application of learned concepts,” according to the official UTRGV website.
The website says the course is for “all industries,” encouraging any interested party to sign up. The course promises growth in skills such as marketing, sales, financial management and much more.
According to the official press release, this program will assist with defining individual business concepts, assessing business viability, elaborating business strategy and providing network opportunities.
Kauffman FastTrac specializes in hands-on courses and aims to teach any student willing to listen. According to their page on the UTRGV website, their classes are designed by “instructional experts” and delivered by FastTrac facilitators.
The classes will be held in English. Spaces are limited. Interested parties will have to fill out a short questionnaire on their business experience and expectations of the course.
