Welcome our libraries to the 21st Century by downloading an ebook or audiobook at one of our local libraries. Just like a traditional book, library patrons who have a valid library card and are in good standing with the library can download the books at no charge. But, just like a physical book, patrons can only check out a set number of copies and are allowed access to a particular book for a finite amount of time.
Additionally, there are almost 40,000 titles, whose copyrights have expired, that are available for free on the internet at http://www.gutenberg.org/.
