Want us to represent you and your real estate interests in Washington D.C.? Tell us the issues that interest you.
Every year the National Association of Realtors (NAR) hold their mid-year conference. It is specifically for the real estate leaders in their communities to express their concerns and to learn about the issues that NAR is lobbying for this year.
We do our best to represent our Board, its’ members, and our client’s interest each year at this conference. It makes a huge difference in our knowledge and our ability to best serve our client’s interest also.
Below are a few of the “Talking Points” that NAR has scheduled for us when we meet with our Congressman on Capital Hill. As you can see, lending is still a huge issue for Realtors and their clients. For us, condo mortgages are difficult and when we told this to our Congressman 2 years ago, they all looked at us like we had three heads. They just don’t know unless someone tells them. The lenders certainly are not telling them.
Talking Points
- Preserve the Mission and Purpose of the FHA Program
- Preserve Homeownership Tax Policies
- Restructure Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac and Encourage the Return of Private Capital
Let us know if you have any comments or suggestions. We want to go loaded with questions for our Congressmen and leaders from NAR. We will be working and answering calls while there. Our assistant will be in the office so please feel free to let us know if you have any questions.
