The City of South Padre Island Environmental Health Services Department (EHSD) is hosting the 9th Annual Recycle Land on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 8 a.m. to noon at Water Tower Park, located at Laguna Boulevard and West Huisache Street.
The community is invited to meet City staff, the honorary guest “Captain Crab” and visit with businesses. This annual event will include exhibits, educational activities, music and fun for all.
“We have hosted this event for the past nine years and have introduced new and innovative ways to recycle,” said J. Victor Baldovinos, Environmental Health director.
“This event will teach attendees how they can do their part to keep South Padre Island Beautiful.”
Recyclable items:
Buttons, Lace, Watches, Keys, Corks, Fabric, Beads, Wooden Frames, Household Batteries, American Flags, Light Bulbs, Monofilament Fishing Line, Syringes, Tennis Shoes, Clothing, Copper, Dishes, Appliances, Phone Books and Ink Cartridges.
