In an effort to step up tourism, the convention bureau transition board voted unanimously to start a Monterrey Media/Marketing Campaign. This campaign has been created by the current ad placement agency Machete, Inc. in order to extend the fall off-season with Monterrey visitors. This integrated marketing campaign will include advertising, media editorial, and an activation event. The average USA tourist spends $197 per day while the average Mexican National tourist spends $1,033 per day.
