Not only are there scams happening within Zillow but there are lots of scams happening within Craigslist. The National Association of Realtors is warning their members to watch out for these scams.
We had one of our listings “scraped” from our Internet advertising last year. A lady called us to see if the home that she was about to rent for $1,400. was indeed a legitimate rental. It was not. In fact, it was occupied by the owner as their full-time residence. We reported it to Zillow but never heard back from them.
